This week at the Lincoln Theater
Lincoln County Community Theater presents: "The Bikinis" musical, live on stage! Encore performances!
In “The Bikinis,” Jodi, Karla, Barbara, and Annie, a girl group formed on the Jersey Shore, are back together bringing back the sun, fun and all the great songs from the 60s and 70s they sang down on the boardwalk…Now, 20 years later, they are singing together again, all to raise money for the good folks at Sandy Shores Mobile Home Beach Resort. With a show that promises to get everyone up on their feet, “The Bikinis,” or “The Jersey Girls,” relive their heyday and beyond, that began the summer of 1964 when these four inseparable friends got their name, winning the Belmar Beach Talent Contest, wearing just their bikinis! The boardwalk was smitten with the four teens… Jodi and Annie, two sisters from Paramus New Jersey; Karla, their slightly manipulative first cousin from Philly; and best friend Barbara, from Staten Island. “The Bikinis” is a nonstop celebration of song filled with hits including: "It's In His Kiss," "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini," "Heat Wave," "These Boots Are Made For Walkin', "Incense and Peppermints," "Look What They've Done To My Song, Ma" and "When Will I Be Loved."
This fully staged presentation is directed by John Mulcahy, with choreography by Emily Mirabile, and starring Kelly Caufield, Victoria Hamilton, Rebecca Rinaldi and Mirabile.
Audiences will recognize Victoria Hamilton (Jodi), not just from last summer’s production of “The Bikinis” but also from previous LCCT shows including the lead roles in “Mary Poppins” and “9 to 5.” Emily Mirabile (Karla) recently premiered her new musical “Time Adrift,” created by her and her husband Nick, on the Lincoln Theater stage, featuring over 50 talented community members. Rebecca Rinaldi (Barbara) recently starred as Violet in Lyric Music Theater’s production of “9 to 5” and has performed with City Theater, The Portland Players, and many more. And last, but certainly not least, Kelly Caufield (Annie) recently joined us as Crystal in LCCT’s "Little Shop of Horrors." These 4 outstanding women will have you laughing, crying, and dancing in the aisles!
