This week at the Lincoln Theater
"Sirat" - (R; 1 hour, 55 minutes - In Spanish, French, English, and Arabic) - A father and his son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco. They are searching for Mar -- daughter and sister -- who vanished months ago at one of these endless, sleepless parties. Surrounded by electronic music and a raw, unfamiliar sense of freedom, they follow a group of ravers heading to one last party in the desert. As they venture deeper into the burning wilderness, the journey forces them to confront their own limits. Final showing Thursday, March 26 at 2 p.m.
"Observer" - (NR; 1 hour, 35 minutes) - Free - Filmmaker Ian Cheney embarks on an experiment in which he brings a series of keen-eyed observers - scientists, artists, a hunter - to a range of locations around the world, often without telling them where they are going, and asks them simply to describe what they see. What unfolds is a deep exploration and celebration of the power of observation: what happens when you find new ways to sense and perceive the world around you? With customary whimsy and a small painted red square that Cheney brings on every journey, the film is an invitation to viewers to find beauty and meaning in even the most quotidian of locales. Free screening Thursday, March 26 at 7 p.m.
"Wuthering Heights" - (R; 2 hours, 16 minutes) - “Be with me always. Take any form. Drive me mad.” Emerill Fennel's take on Emily Brontë's novel. A passionate and tumultuous love story set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire moors, exploring the intense and destructive relationship between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw. Starring Oscar Nominee Margot Robbie (Barbie, Bombshell) and Oscar Nominee Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein, Saltburn). Playing Friday, March 27 at 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday, March 28 at 2 and 7 p.m., Wed April 1 at 2 and 7 p.m. and Thursday, April 2 at 2 p.m.
