"Eleanor the Great" - (PG13; 1 hour, 38 minutes) - June Squibb brings to vivid life the witty and proudly troublesome 94-year-old Eleanor Morgenstein, who after a devastating loss, tells a tale that takes on a dangerous life of its own. Scarlett Johansson's directorial debut is a comically poignant exploration of how the stories we hear become the stories we tell. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2 p.m. (OCAP) and Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
"One Battle After Another" - (R; 2 hours, 42 minutes) - Paul Thomas Anderson’s epic action thriller brings together a group of former revolutionaries when an old enemy resurfaces after 16 years, forcing them into a dangerous mission that strikes painfully close to home. At the center is Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio), a washed-up radical living off-grid in a haze of paranoia with his spirited, self-reliant daughter, Willa (Chase Infiniti). When his longtime nemesis reappears and Willa goes missing, Bob scrambles to rescue her, reuniting with his former comrades (Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, and Teyana Taylor) in a fight that blends explosive action with a reckoning of their shared past. The film weaves high-stakes suspense with themes of loyalty, redemption, and the haunting costs of unfinished battles. Plays at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, Saturday, Oct. 25 and Thursday, Oct. 30. Plays at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 and Wednesday, Oct. 29, (OCAP).
