Tourism, restaurant, hospitality business Booster Session in Wiscasset March 12
The Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission (LCRPC), in partnership with the Maine Tourism Association (MTA) is hosting an informational workshop on tourism, hospitality, and restaurant workforce development on Thursday, March 12, 10 to 11 a.m., in LCRPC’s conference room at 297 Bath Road in Wiscasset.
This free informational session is for tourism, hospitality, and restaurant businesses in Lincoln County and will cover recruiting, retention, training, and workforce development resources the MTA offers, featuring MTA Director of Workforce Development, Kathryn Ference. Attendees will learn also about other resources available in Maine for tourism related businesses, as well as variables businesses should consider as they head into the busy season. Restaurant, inn, hotel, and other tourism related business owners, managers, HR directors, and other staff are encouraged to attend this learning and networking opportunity.
This learning opportunity is part of the Business Booster Series hosted by LCRPC, which is a semi-regular workshop series for Lincoln County businesses. Topics covered include marketing, financial management, access to capital, legal services, workforce development, and other timely needs that impact members of the business community. Additional upcoming hybrid sessions on March 19 and April 9 (at the LCRPC office and online) will focus on business financing with local banks and legal services for business.
