Regarding the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Community School District Building Exploratory Committee’s review of the four concepts for the CSD campus … if you are interested in what some of the plans are, be sure to read this week’s article, especially the one on our website.

With the help of the CSD, reporter Joe Charpentier wrote a thorough piece on the latest developments, with PFD attachments on the various concepts and programs.

There will be public hearings in the future but this article will explain a lot.

“Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, KU!” Such is the rallying cry at the University of Kansas by fans of their sports teams.

In case you missed it (which I did because I couldn’t stay up with a 9:20 p.m. start), the Kansas Jayhawks won the 2022 men’s NCAA Division I basketball championship over the North Carolina Tar Heels, 72-69, on Monday night, April 4.

My hat is off to my wife for picking the Jayhawks to go all the way on her tournament bracket. I had them picked to make the Final Four but losing to Arizona, with Gonzaga winning it all. Melodee beat me again in our tournament picks. She said she picked Kansas because our nephew attends KU!

It was an exciting tournament with several upsets – St. Peter’s being the biggest “bracket buster” – and many last minute finishes, including the championship game which I hope to watch at a reasonable hour.

Rest in peace Eddie Tibbetts. A tragic end to a friend’s life. A classmate from K through 12, football teammate and one of the kindest persons I have known.
