Thanks from the Alumni Association
Dear Editor:
The BRHS Alumni Association extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us to welcome the newest members of our alumni family—the Class of 2026—at our annual Alumni Lunch.
A special thank you goes to the Kaler family for generously hosting the event at Kaler's Restaurant. We are also grateful to Hannaford for donating the cake and supplies that helped make the celebration even sweeter.
Later that week, we had the privilege of watching the Class of 2026 take part in the Grand March. The graduates looked absolutely fabulous, and the evening was a wonderful celebration of a cherished Boothbay Region tradition.
Events like these are only possible because of the many people who give their time, talents, and support. Thank you to Andy Luke for once again serving as our emcee, Conley's Garden Center for providing the beautiful plants, and the Boothbay Region Community Band for adding to the evening's atmosphere. We are especially grateful to Leanne and Sue in the BRHS Guidance Department, Laura and Christina in the BRHS office, and the janitorial staff for their assistance behind the scenes.
A special shout-out goes to Tracey and Eric for sharing their extensive historical knowledge and helping preserve the traditions that make the Grand March so meaningful. Thank you as well to the sophomore and junior young women who graciously stepped in to help balance the numbers and ensure the event proceeded smoothly. And thank you to student photographer Chau Nguyen.
We would also like to recognize our "Balloon Brigade," especially Kitty Boyd. Bringing back the balloons added a special touch to the evening, and it would not have been possible without your energy, enthusiasm, and optimism.
Finally, thank you to the dedicated members of the BRHS Alumni Association who spent countless hours planning, decorating, organizing, and volunteering to make both the Alumni Lunch and Grand March such memorable celebrations.
The continued support of our community helps keep these traditions alive for future generations. Congratulations once again to the Class of 2026, and welcome to the BRHS Alumni Association!
