Tapestry Singers will be holding auditions for the fall semester during the week of Aug. 10-14. The first rehearsal is on Monday, Sept. 14 in preparation for the Dec. 12 and 13 concerts. The ’"Tis the Season" program will include festive music of Christmas, Hanukkah, and the Winter Solstice, performed in the unparalleled acoustics of the Damariscotta Baptist Church.

Tapestry Singers has a mix of professional and highly skilled amateur singers who perform classical choral music, championing the work of living composers.

The audition includes checking vocal range and music reading skills. Tapestry Singers’ audiences have come to expect something out of the ordinary, new music to challenge their sensibilities and familiar tunes that are interestingly arranged.
