Sweating Bullets Band performs March 15
Lodge opened at 7 p.m. Monday, March 10 with 16 members present.
Our annual bowling tournament was in Bangor this year. Although we didn’t win any team trophies, Blaine Blackman had the highest string and brought home the trophy for the Lodge. We had a great time visiting with members from other Lodges.
The Sweating Bullets Band will perform at a dance at the K.P. Hall on Saturday, March 15 from 8 p.m. to midnight. There will be a $10 cover and bring your own beverage. The kitchen will be open.
We will be holding a dart tournament on Saturday, March 22 starting at 10 a.m. with men’s and women’s singles, followed by men’s and women’s doubles, and ending with a Luck of the Draw. I will have a full schedule and times next week in this column.
Everyone said the Hootenanny at the Opera House was a success again this year. The bands and guests sounded great and have gotten rave reviews. Approximately 150 people attended. Good job, Garry Blackman Sr., and others, for putting this together.
On Monday, March 17, we will start rank work on four candidates, so members are urged to attend. It makes for more fun with lots of members present.
We adjourned the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
