The artists will work with a wide variety of hand and powered tools to create works of art that will be sold at Boothbay Region Land Trust’s quadrennial Art Auction on Thursday, Aug. 8 – or later join the Boothbay Harbor Region Sculpture Trail.

Hallowell Band Concerts

Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library lawn, 4 Oak St., Boothbay Harbor - 10 weeks on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m, - July 4 through Sept. 5 - 45-minute concerts. All are welcome! Bring lawn chairs or blankets.

     The Hallowell Community Band plays classic American concert band music and has been playing at town celebrations and parades for over 70 years. It has been an iconic must experience for visitors to Boothbay Harbor for well over 50 years as it performs its weekly Thursday evening concerts. The band also ushers in the 4th of July fireworks with a concert at the Whale Park, Commercial Street, Boothbay Harbor. The band welcomes new members. Whether you’re a Mainer or a visitor, whatever your age or ability, just bring your instrument to a concert. The band has a supply of spare music charts at the concerts.

Friday Night Outdoor Movies

Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library - 8 p.m. on Fridays in July and August (1st four weeks only) watch family-friendly films on the library lawn. Free popcorn and lemonade. Bring blankets, pillows and chairs. Weather permitting! FMI: 633-3112
