On Tuesday, Oct. 2, which was such a beautiful day, two athletes from the Boothbay Region competed at the State Tennis Games at Bates College in Lewiston.
Ronda LeConte competed at level 5 with very excellent competitors. She returned with a 4th place.
Valerie Giles competed at level 3 with another group of excellent competitors and won a silver medal. Valerie first learned tennis at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club’s summer program and Ronda first learned at Camp Fernwood in Oxford .
Lots of athletes attended the day’s events and many spectators and partners.
