Southport selectmen announced, March 18, a public meeting regarding the Climate Resilience Team's Hendricks Hill Beach project is set for next month. The team will update residents about raising a Hendricks Head Beach sea wall, enlarging culverts and raising the road's elevation. The meeting is Wednesday, April 15  and begins at 5:30 p.m. in the town hall. 

In other action, selectmen wanted to make sure the local newspaper reported about their 2026 Spirit of America nomination. This year, the board nominated Paul "Bucky" Holloway, who received a certificate at this year's town meeting. Holloway has participated in several local repair projects: fire house, museum, town monument, replaced a church window and cleaned reset local grave stones.
