Selectmen approve special amusement license for Robinson's Wharf
Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the theatre, Robinson's Wharf is hosting a watch party for one of the most terrifying movies in the past 50 years. On June 18, Robinson's is hosting a roof deck viewing of "Jaws" in honor of the movie's 50th anniversary. The event is a fundraiser for Midcoast Humane Society in Edgecomb.The doors open at 8:30 p.m. and movie starts at 9. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at Robinson's.
June 4, Hugh Thompson represented Robinson's and received a special amusement license from Southport selectmen.
In other action, Donna Climo received two approvals for renting the town hall. She will rent the hall "for a gathering of friends" on July 12 and Sept. 6. Selectmen received the elevator registration for Southport Memorial Library. The State Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation sent the document as part of the elevator and safety program.
The elevator type is passenger. It has a speed of 80 feet per minute with a 2,500 pound capacity.
Selectmen meet next at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 in the town office.
