Seahawks trounce Richmond 66-37
Simeon Bates scored 19 points and the Seahawks tallied eight 3-pointers to get their second win of the season (2-3), 66-37, at Richmond Friday night, Dec. 19.
Boothbay scored 20 points each of the first two quarters and led at halftime, 40-19. Alex Ross (seven points) hit two 3-pointers in the first quarter and Ethan Clark (nine points) made two of his three 3-pointers in the second quarter. Peyton Barter (nine points) added a second quarter 3-pointer. The final two 3-pointers were made by Spencer Wood (six points) in the second half.
After dismal foul shooting in their previous game (8 of 25), the Seahawks were 10 of 14 against Richmond, including five of six by Bates.
Richmond, now 0-5, was led by David Edwards with 13 points, followed by James Hawthorne with eight.
Boothbay is next scheduled to host Madison (3-1) on Monday, Dec. 22 at 6:30 p.m.
