Seahawks down Winthrop to take MVC crown

The Boothbay Region High School boys tennis team defeated Winthrop, 4-1, to win the 2025 Mountain Valley Conference championship on Wednesday, May 28 at Maranacook.
The Seahawks finished the regular season at 10-0 and Winthrop finished 9-3. Two of Boothbay’s regular season wins were over the Ramblers, 5-0 and 3-2. Boothbay is seeded first in Class C South and Winthrop is seeded second. Both await their quarterfinal opponent in the upcoming Maine Principals’ Association tournament.
