The Twin Villages will kick off the start of the holiday season when Santa comes to town Saturday, Nov. 30.

Santa will be the star of a parade that crosses Main Street beginning at noon. The parade will feature not only Santa, but his elves and a dance performance by the Reny's Rockets.

Following the parade there will be a free movie at the Lincoln Theater sponsored by the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce.

For those late to the holiday party, the Wrap it Up street festival will be December 19 throughout Damariscotta and Newcastle. There will be strolling musicians and holiday-themed food as local businesses sell last-minute gifts and wrap them up for free.
