Local author R. John Dingle’s latest novel, “Before The Devil Knows,” in the Gus Wheeler FBI thriller series will be released on Saturday, Aug. 8.

The launch event of Dingle’s third novel will be held that day at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library.

Prior to the launch of his latest novel, Dingle will be giving an author talk at the Southport Memorial Library on Thursday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m., followed by a book signing at Sherman’s Book Store in Boothbay Harbor on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. and an author talk at Longfellow Books in Portland on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. Following the launch event, Dingle will give an author talk at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Cub on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m.

According to press releases, the series “follows FBI agent and profiler Gus Wheeler as he investigates gripping murder cases across New England, where hidden secrets, psychological suspense, and relentless twists keep readers guessing until the very end.”
