Planning board approves 3 applications
The Boothbay Planning Board approved three applications Oct. 15. The board approved an expansion and renovating a single-family home at 3 Salter Lane which is within the 75-foot shoreland setback. Michael Tomko represented the applicant, Jennifer M. Klein Living Trust of Huntington Beach, California.
The second application was a property swap between two abutters: John C. and Michelle M. Maher and Winford Charles and Wendy E. Nowell. The parties exchanged a total of 3,303 square feet on their Evergreen Drive parcels. Jonathan Tindal filled in for Nicolas Plumer of Boothbay Region Surveyors as the applicants' representative and explained the swap rectified a setback encroachment problem. The planning board approved an amendment to the Butler Farms Estates Subdivision that was approved in September 2004 and amended in October 2025.
Boothbay Railway Village received conditional approval to construct an 8,000 square foot automobile museum building at 586 Wiscasset Road. The property is in a corridor district. The applicant is required to inspect the French drain and report back to the code officer.
The board meets next at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 in the conference room.
