Knickerbocker Group is proud to announce that Design Studio Leader Julien Jalbert has been selected as one of New England Home’s 5 Under 40 honorees for 2025. The prestigious award recognizes the region’s finest emerging talent shaping the residential design industry. Selected by a panel of design leaders, the recipients are celebrated for their creativity, innovation, and vision in architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture. 

Since joining Knickerbocker Group in 2017, Julien has contributed to some of the firm’s most forward-thinking projects, emphasizing sustainable concepts. His work has been recognized with multiple AIA Maine Design Awards. 

“Julien has what can sometimes be rare qualities in an architect—relatability and attentiveness. His quick, intuitive nature makes the design (and build) process easy and fun. His enthusiasm and excitement are infectious,” said a client. 

Jalbert’s commitment to innovation has supported Knickerbocker Group’s approach to resilient residential design. The firm is proud to see his contributions recognized by New England Home and celebrates this well-deserved honor.

Beyond his project work, Jalbert leads the firm’s Sustainability and Innovation Committee and actively supports the next generation of designers. A Northeastern University alumnus, he mentors students through their co-op program and has guided interns—one of whom recently joined Knickerbocker Group full-time. He has also served on boards for Architalx and ACE.
