For two screenings only, the beloved David Tennant, known best for his role as The Doctor on the famous series “Doctor Who,” makes his return to the West End in National Theatre Live’s “Good.” For two screenings only, you can have the best seat in the house seeing incredible live theater up close and personal on the big screen, One evening show: Thursday, July 6 at 7 p.m. and Friday July 7 at 2 p.m.
David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch) stars in this blistering reimagining of one of Britain’s most powerful, political plays. Set inside a bunker… or maybe it’s a gas chamber… “Good” takes place in 1930s Germany during the rise of the Nazis. Tennant portrays literary academic John Halder, whose best and only friend is Maurice (Elliot Levey), a Jewish psychiatrist. As the world faces its Second World War, John, a good, intelligent German professor, finds himself pulled into a movement with unthinkable consequences in this fascinating psychological production with the feel of a fever dream. Olivier Award-winner Dominic Cooke (Follies) directs C.P. Taylor’s timely tale, filmed live from the Harold Pinter Theatre in London.
