Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 4 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 244 calls for service for the period of Oct. 14 to Oct. 21. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 11,794 calls for service.
Summons
Christian E. Matthews, 33, of Dresden was issued a summons Oct. 17 for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, on River Road, Dresden, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Arrests
Ian C. Brady, 23, of Harpswell was arrested Oct. 15 for Operating after Suspension – Prior Convictions and a Lincoln County warrant for Failure to Appear on an Operating after Suspension charge, on Main Street, Wiscasset, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Matthew R. Delano, 48, of Dresden was arrested Oct. 16 for Reckless Conduct, on Taryn Drive, Dresden, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Leroy E. St. Clair, 41, of Waldoboro was arrested Oct. 18 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Campground Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Ethan Burns.
Gregory S. Prior, 54, of Bremen was arrested Oct. 19 for Criminal Threatening and Violating Condition of Release, on Medomak Road, Bremen, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson, who was assisted by Deputy Joseph Booth.
Accidents
On Oct. 14, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving George B. Hisler, 54, of Dresden. Mr. Hisler was operating his 2015 Dodge Dart southbound when a deer ran in front of his vehicle and was struck, causing front passenger corner damage, hood damage and passenger side damage. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 15, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Daniel A. Sasse, 66, of Windsor. Mr. Sasse was operating his 2012 Ford F-150 southbound when a deer ran out in front of him and was struck, causing front end damage and airbag deployment. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 15, an accident occurred on South Howe Road in Whitefield involving Matthew D. Baker, 44, of Fairfield, Washington and Kayla L. Grant, 33, of Lewiston. Mr. Baker was backing his 2014 Freightliner and spraying tar on the road, from South Howe Road to Vigue Road. Ms. Grant was a flagger at the work zone site and was sitting in her 2016 Subaru Outback, parked off the roadway, at the corner of the intersection. Baker’s edge of the tar equipment spreader scraped the passenger side of Grant’s vehicle, causing damage to the passenger side of Grant’s vehicle and no damage to Baker’s vehicle. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 15, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Judith A. Harris, 65, of Westport Island. Ms. Harris was operating her 2013 Subaru Crosstrek southbound when she stated she saw one deer clear the shoulder of the road, when suddenly another deer bolted into her lane of travel and collided with her vehicle, causing damage to the front passenger corner and door. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 20, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Noah H. Greenleaf, 27, of Westport Island. Mr. Greenleaf was operating his 2020 Dodge 1500 northbound when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle and was struck, causing front end damage. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
