It's opening weekend at BRVM
The Boothbay Railway Village Museum opens this weekend for its 61st season. Museum hours will be 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. with train rides on the hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the hour. The museum will be open weekends only until Father's Day, when summer hours will begin, Tuesday-Sunday.
Iron Horse Antiques & General Store is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shop is full to capcaity with 14 unique dealers, and the inventory is always changing. The shop will also feature its first Pop Up Vintage Market on Wednesday, June 18 when the Antique Roadshow comes to Boothbay. The Pop Up Market will happen in the museum's Town Hall building from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Limited dealer space is available for the one-day event, and table rentals are $20. More upcoming events: Dads ride free on Father's Day, and the Hallowell Band will perform at 1 p.m. Cars and Coffee begins for the season on June 29, and continue to the last Sunday of the month in September. Also in June, Boothbay Summer Theater will present "RED" by John Logan, starring Al D’Andrea* and Tristan Rolfe, directed by Margit Ahlin. Several new events are planned for the museum's 61st season, to include Cocktails and Chrome: An Antique Auto Affair. The August gala is a major fundraiser for the museum's ongoing capital campaign, Driving History Forward To Preserve and Showcase our Automotive legacy.
