Home protection, other classes coming soon at Boothbay Region Adult & Community Education

Master Maine Guide Alice Bean Andrenyak will offer an online series of home protection classes through Boothbay Region Adult & Community Education in November.

Developing a Personal  & Home Defense Protection Plan on Nov. 6, Constitutional Carry and Legal Use of Force Explained on Nov. 13, and When Your Office is Someone’s Home, on Nov. 20 may be taken separately or as a series. These classes are offered for informational purposes only. Students must have an audio- and video-enabled device and reliable internet access to get the most from online classes.

Additional in-person classes are open for registration in November. Asian Holiday Appetizers with Chris Toy on Nov. 7 promises an evening of tasty nibbles. Bring a container to take home samples. If the holidays put you more in a mood to bake, join Deb Arter for Scones Are Easy on Nov. 8.

Deb Arter is also offering Eraser Drawing on Nov. 14 for an experiencing of “un-drawing” to challenge your creativity. Decorate Your Own Wrapping Paper with book artist Joelle Webber will take place on Nov. 15, and Byron Cortez is back with Continuing Spanish Basics, beginning Nov. 21.

Academic classes for high school completion and English language learning are held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Enrollment is ongoing, and to make an appointment, email Director Raye Leonard at rleonard@aos98schools.org.  

Boothbay Adult & Community Education offers high school completion, college preparation, English language learning, workforce training, and general enrichment programs to the AOS 98 communities of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb, Georgetown, and Southport.
