The first week of December at Boothbay Region Adult Ed take a class on how to work with and edit digital photos on your computer, learn to make delicious southern holiday desserts, improve computer skills and more.
Learn more about using your computer in Beyond Beginner Computer. An intermediate class for anyone with basic computer skills. Topics include: email, organizing and finding files, how to keep your computer safe from viruses, the control panel, customizing your desktop and more. Time will be allowed for questions. This four session class meets twice a week Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning December 2, and the fee is $45.
Join Margaret Perritt for Festive Southern Fare for the Holidays, a two evening class, to make some delicious traditional southern desserts. Perritt will share recipes and show you how to make a cream cheese pecan poundcake, a famous southern chef’s death by chocolate cake, and ginger cookies served at Stratford Hall. Take home some ginger cookies to share with your family She will also share a bit of history about these recipes. The class is at Boothbay Region Elementary school on December 3 and 5 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and the fee is $23.
In Editing Digital Photos - The Easy Way will show you how to do basic editing on your computer to make the most of your digital photos. Learn what “auto-fix” is, crop and resize images, add color, sharpen, remove red eye and more. We will also cover downloading and saving photos on your computer or to a CD/DVD. Please bring some digital photos on a flash drive or email them to yourself. This two session class meets on December 3 and 5, 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $25.
Learn how your lymph system works in Lymph Health 101 on December 5. Did you know you have between 600-1,000 lymph nodes in your body and that those lymph nodes have a very important, specific job to help keep you healthy? Come learn why the lymphatic system creates improved immunity and health. The time is 6 to 8 p.m., and the cost is $15.
