Hearty Roots offers “Interlude” fall mini-retreat
Registration is open for Hearty Roots’ “Interlude” gathering on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. on the Hearty Roots campus in Bremen.
Guided by the theme of “Connect and Nourish- What are we harvesting?”, the retreat offers a chance to find whatever one’s spirit is needing during this time of seasonal transition. The day will be filled with connecting time; a guided hike through the splendor of an ancient hemlock forest laced with burbling streams, beaver ponds and dramatic rocky outcroppings that will include time for foraging; and an opportunity to let creative juices flow in two craft workshops. There will also be some solo time to reflect, take in the quiet and celebrate the gift of a peaceful day of inner and outer exploration.
Leading the retreat will be Erin Quinley, a Hearty Roots adventure mentor, and Corinne Eisenman, a leadership coach and wilderness instructor. Their trail smarts will ensure a fascinating and mindful time in the forest, and their open hearts will enrich the time spent in community.
Participants should bring their lunch; along with tea and snacks, the retreat will include a closing supper around the campfire. For more information and to register, go to https://www.heartyroots.org/fall-interlude.
