All are welcome to attend an Open House at Fort Edgecomb being held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Built in 1808 the two-story octagonal wooden blockhouse located on Davis Island, in Edgecomb. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. In 1991, its boundaries were expanded outward to establish an "historic district." 66 Fort Road. Rain date: Sunday, Aug. 16.
