Experience “Nature in Motion” at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens’ Free Community Night
Join Boothbay Region neighbors on Friday, Nov. 14 from 4 to 9 p.m. for the annual free Gardens Aglow Community Night. A valid ID that demonstrates residency in Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb, or Southport is required. First responders and public-school staff who work on the peninsula are also welcome. No advanced registration is needed.
Inspired by nature's seasonal cycles, this year's theme, "Nature in Motion," will excite guests as they discover glowing versions of native Maine critters hidden throughout the route. In addition to the popular lit sculptures, the Gardens have invited Portland-based PORTL& to create immersive nature installations in two locations.
Hot food and beverages will be available for purchase in the Gardens’ Cafe and from three food trucks. After a call for food truck proposals this fall, the Gardens will invite back Fields Fields Blueberries and Sweet and Salty Popcorn, and welcome for the first time, Shannon’s Unshelled.
Calling all non-profits and businesses
Once again, organizations from several non-profits and small businesses will be featured in the Café during Community Night. Guests are invited to learn more about these organizations, support non-profit fundraisers, and warm up on their visit.
If you are interested in promoting your organization, providing activities, fundraising for your non-profit, or engaging with the community in other creative ways, the Gardens would love for you to be involved! Please note that non-profits may fundraise at this event, and groups may choose to give away promotional items, but this is not a retail space for businesses. This opportunity is for organizations and businesses based on the Boothbay Peninsula only. For questions or to sign up, please fill out this form online. For questions, please email Tory Paxson at tpaxson@mainegardens.org. The deadline is Nov. 7.
