Edgecomb Primary results
On Primary Day, June 9, Democrat Hannah Pingree and Republican Ben Midgley topped their respective gubernatorial fields. Pingree led her four other primary candidates with 101 votes. Nirav Shah followed with 76. Shenna Bellows was third with 70. Troy Jackson had 53, and Angus King III had 27.
In the U.S. Senate primary, Graham Platner finished first with 250 votes. Gov. Janet Mills received 67 and David Costello had 14.
For Prosecutorial District VI incumbent Natasha Irving received 98 and challenger Barbara Cray received 175.
All other Democratic primaries were unopposed. U.S. Congresswoman Chellie Pingree received 324 for renomination in District 1. State Senator Cameron Reny received 304 for District 13 renomination. House District 48 candidate Charlotte Nutt received 314. County Sheriff Todd Brackett received 296.
On the Republican side, Midgley placed first with 36. Bobby Charles placed second with 32. Jonathan Bush placed third with 17. Other candidates receiving votes were David Jones, 11; Garrett Mason, 9; and Robert Wessels, 2.
For U.S. Congress District 1 Ron Russell placed first with 51 and Joshua Pietrowicz received 29.
U.S. Senator Susan Collins received 106 primary votes. Maine House District 48 Erik Hobson received 97. Register of Probate Catherine Moore received 97. County Treasurer Michelle Kane received 101. Register of Deeds Rebecca Wotton received 99.
