Sayon Camara, a Master Djembefola from Guinea, West Africa, will be conducting drumming workshops at the Community Center in the Meadow Mall, Boothbay Harbor, on Saturday, July 18, noon to 1:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 19, 4 to 5:30 p.m.

He will also return on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8 (noon-1:30 p.m.) and 9 (4-5:30 p.m.) to the Center for more drumming workshops.

Sayon has been teaching workshops for decades to students of all levels from all over the world, sharing the music, songs, dance and traditions of the Malinke people. Sayon teaches with a humble, open heart, infinite joy and an impeccable sense of time.

This workshop is for ages 16+, beginner and beyond.
