Community Lunch resumes Monday, Nov. 6

Tue, 10/31/2023 - 8:00am

It’s that time again! After a summer break, weekly community lunch at Brady’s Restaurant will resume on Monday, Nov. 6, hosted each week by a local business or organization. First up to share their culinary skills for the second year are Sewall and Betty Jeanne Maddocks of Janson’s Clothing.

Lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m., and guests are welcome to linger and enjoy the fellowship. There is no charge although donations are accepted. As was the case last year, suggestions will be requested for use of the accumulated funds.

Those groups lined up to host for a second season include: Southport, Boothbay Harbor and East Boothbay Methodists; Lisa Hallinan Catering; Log Cabin Shoes/Smiling Cow; Wiscasset Ford; Boothbay Craft Brewery; Shore Hills Campground/Neal Reny Construction; Boothbay Region Dart League; Freedom Auto; St. Columba’s Episcopal; Peaslee Construction; the First; The Anchor Church; Rotary Club; and Boothbay Baptist Church. New to the roster of fun are Topside Inn, Rebuilding Together and Our Lady Queen of Peace.

Parking is available in front of the restaurant and the back half of the lot across the street, as well as 2-hour spots on Townsend Avenue. Car pooling is suggested if possible. The one spot at the door is designated for drop-off.

As mentioned, serving begins promptly at 11:30 and will continue until all are fed (or food is gone!). For more information please call Tancy Mitchell at 207-592-0660.
