Community input sought on economic development strategy
The towns of Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor are seeking input from residents, workers, business owners, students, and visitors to help shape a forward-looking economic development strategy.
In collaboration with RCAP Solutions, a nonprofit specializing in rural community and economic development, the towns have launched a community-wide survey to gather insights and ideas directly from those who live, work, and spend time in the region. The goal is to ensure future economic development efforts align with community values and priorities.
The survey explores participants’ experiences in the area and aims to identify local assets that can inform planning. It takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
As a thank-you, participants may enter a raffle to win a gift card to a Lincoln County business of their choice. To enter, respondents can provide an email or phone number, which will be kept confidential and used solely to notify winners.
All survey responses will be analyzed collectively and will not be used to identify individuals. The survey will remain open through Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 at 5 p.m., and community members are encouraged to participate early.

The towns encourage broad participation and invite community members to share the survey widely to ensure diverse representation.
