The Class C South-leading Hall-Dale Bulldogs took down the Boothbay Region Seahawks, 72-45, at BRHS Friday night, Jan. 2 to improve to 7-0 on the season. The Seahawks, now in 11th place in Class D South, fell to 2-6 on the season.

The game started well for the home team, trailing by only four after eight minutes, 19-15; however, the middle two quarters went all Hall-Dale’s way, outscoring Boothbay 45-20, to put the game away.

Tayshawn Cleveland led the Bulldogs with 21 points, followed by Karter Eldridge with 18 and Davis Madore with 10.

For Boothbay, Simeon Bates led with 13 points while Peyton Barter and Chase Licursi each added 11.

The Seahawks are scheduled to host North Yarmouth Academy (2-6) on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 6:30. The Seahawks defeated the Panthers, 56-29, Dec. 9 at NYA.
