Seahawk junior Moriah Smith was named one of the 25 players to watch in Southern Maine by the Portland Press Herald. KEVIN BURNHAM/Boothbay RegisterDue to the Meadow Mall’s propane leak evacuation order on Friday, Sept. 4, the Boothbay Region High School field hockey game against Dirigo was canceled after the first quarter with the score tied 1-1.
BRHS Athletic Director Allan Crocker said the home game will be made up on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m., pending the availability of officials.
Earlier this week, Crocker announced that junior midfielder Moriah Smith was mentioned as one of 25 players in Southern Maine to watch and that the BRHS team was among the top-10 teams in Southern Maine by the Portland Press Herald.
