For the entire month of October, store leadership at Hannaford at the Boothbay Harbor location has selected the Boothbay Region Ambulance Service to receive a $1 donation from every purchase of the $2.50 Hannaford Community Bag!

The Community Bag Program facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the vicinities where shoppers live and work. More than $1.2 million has been donated to over 5,000 local nonprofits since the Program launched in October 2015.

“We are very excited and thankful to have been selected by Hannaford. Local businesses like this that give back to the community is what makes the Boothbay region such a great place,” said Dan Gardner, EMS Chief of Boothbay Region Ambulance Service. “These donations will help us to fund equipment and training, so that we may continue to provide our citizens and guests with a high standard of emergency care. I’m extremely proud to lead such a group of dedicated of EMS personnel who work hard to keep our community safe and healthy.”
