Boothbay municipal candidates have until Monday, March 2 to return nomination papers
Time is running out for Boothbay candidates to return their nomination papers. So far, only three have, while six others continue to circulate them.
Two candidates vying for the cemetery district — incumbent Sara Fahnley and former President Kim W. Pinkham — have returned their papers and will face off for a three-year seat in the May 4 election.
Riley R. Mitchell was the only other candidate as of Feb. 24 to return his papers. He is seeking a three-year term as the superintending committee member. Incumbent Abigail Jones has taken out papers as has challenger Shani Bryer.
Paul Roberts is seeking another term as Community School District trustee. Incumbent V. Kevin Anthony is seeking another term as Boothbay Region Water District representative. There are no other candidates for either of these seats, which have three-year terms.
There are expiring selectmen's seats on this year's ballot. Incumbents Chuck Cunningham and Julie E. Roberts are running for re-election. No one else has taken out papers for those seats. Both are for three-year terms.
Candidates have until the end of business on Monday, March 2 to return their papers.
