Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club
The Rotary Clubhouse might have been quiet last week, but the Rotary Barn was its usual busy, “happening” place. The July 4th holiday brought out a lot of happy treasure hunters and the Rotary Barn didn’t let them down. A big thank You to all the volunteers that make the Rotary Barn a success and to Laurie and Debbie for their planning and organization.
This Thursday our new president, Tory Paxson, will preside over her first “official” meeting. After the recent fun and camaraderie or the Windjammer Day’s float organized by president Tory, chances are this is going to be another good year for the club.
We are also welcoming Paul Zalucky, who will update us on the war in the Ukraine. Mr Zalucky is a retired CIA senior executive operations officer who served in Eastern Europe. Mr Zalucky has just returned from two weeks in the Ukraine giving him a unique perspective of the status of this ongoing war. Mr Zalucky is an engaging and informative speaker. All are welcome to join us at 6 p.m. for our regular dinner meeting.
The Rotary Barn is accepting donations of gently used furniture, pots/pans, dishes, glasses, lamps, boats, collectibles, tools, just about anything. Call or text Deb at 207-380-3550 to arrange a pick up or drop off of your donations.
