The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce invites the community to gather for its annual Community Awards Celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the newly renovated Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences.

The event honors local businesses and individuals who make the Boothbay region shine. In August, community members were invited to submit nominations for businesses and individuals who impressed them with exceptional service, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. The Chamber received an overwhelming response and thanks to all who participated. The top five nominees in each award category will now move forward to final voting.

This year’s celebration takes on a fresh new format. Instead of a formal dinner, guests will enjoy a lively cocktail reception featuring multiple food stations, a cash bar, and plenty of time to mix and mingle as winners will be announced throughout the evening.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in with an Ocean-Themed Flair or “Fishermen’s Chic” attire, with surprise appearances from Fishin’ for Fashion models adding to the festive atmosphere.

Tickets are $65 through Sept. 21 and $75 starting Sept. 22. They are available at the Chamber office, 192 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor (cash or check preferred; cards accepted).

New this year, the Chamber is also offering exclusive group gathering spaces, including reserved tables and private lounges with seating, Prosecco, and charcuterie boards for groups that want to celebrate together.
