The Boothbay Region Seahawks field hockey team won its second straight game to open the 2025 season, easily defeating the Telstar Rebels (0-2) in Bethel, 10-0, on Monday, Sept. 8.

Sophomore Moriah Smith led Boothbay with four goals, while her twin sister Zuri Smith scored two. Also getting two goals was newcomer Frida Kirchhauser. Also scoring were Allie Smart and Lilly Ann Cowing.

The Seahawks next play at home on Wednesday, Sept. 10 against Mt. View at 4 p.m.
