Bath-Brunswick Respite Care receives equipment for improved client communication
Coastal Maine Regional Broadband has partnered with Bath-Brunswick Respite Care to provide new equipment – a 65-inch TV, speakerphone, webcam and laptop – for a new space dedicated for virtual meetings between clients and care teams, and for family and client connections with key resources such as the VA, health care providers, and social workers.
Ashley Butterfield, executive director, is excited to expand Respite Care’s support services with this new technology. Bath-Brunswick Respite Care provides adult day care services for the Midcoast area, specializing in taking care of individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other age-related cognitive issues. Clients socialize, exercise, do crafts, garden, and enjoy themselves while their caregivers have time to take a break, rest and run errands.
B-B Respite also offers in-person and virtual caregiver support groups, and a Caregiver Connect Educational Series. For more information, contact info@respite-care.org.
Coastal Maine Regional Broadband is a regional partner with Maine Connectivity Authority and has been working with many social service agencies, libraries, adult ed programs and other Sagadahoc and Lincoln County groups over the past two years to “bridge the divide,” to improve and expand the digital resources available to vulnerable residents, including older adults, low-income families, veterans, and disabled individuals.
