Ashley E. Johnson

Tue, 09/08/2020 - 8:30am

Ashley Elizabeth Johnson entered this world prematurely with her twin sister on March 2, 1984 in Orlando, Florida.

While growing up the family moved a lot and Ashley lived in Christmas, Florida, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Norfolk, Virginia and attended St John’s Lutheran Preschool, Lawrence, Massachusetts and attended Saunders Elementary, and Columbia Elementary, Discovery Middle and University High School in Orlando, and Central Maine Community College, Auburn, Maine.

Ashley had many interests, loved adventure and was willing to try almost anything. She loved the ocean and was at the beach or on a boat whenever possible. She was in the school band and in the high school chorus. As an adult she moved to Maine where she learned to work on a lobster boat and had many adventures. Maine is where she first experienced the miracle of pregnancy.

From the start there were struggles and misfortunes but despite the challenges Ashley was a fighter and loved life. With a twinkle in her eye and big beautiful smile she could light up a room. Ashley never met a stranger and had many friends and family members who loved her.

On Aug. 30, 2020 Ashley’s battles ended and she flew to the arms of Jesus.

Ashley was predeceased by her biological father, Robert D. Johnson of Muskegon, Michigan, as well as her stepfather who raised her, George Peed, III, of Fort Pierce, Florida; maternal grandparents Aulton W. Poppell and Sarah Nobles, and aunt Carmen Blake.

Ashley is survived by her four beautiful children: Aileigh R. Johnson, age 12, (father Caleb Knapp of Boothbay, Maine), Chase A. Parini, age 10, (father Stephen Parini of Sandwich, Massachusetts), Collin A. Jolleys, age 6, and Annaleigh S. Jolleys, age 2, (father Mark Jolleys of Halton, Lancashire, England). She is also survived by her mother Linda P. Martin (Steve) of Casselberry, Florida; twin sister Shauna R. Johnson Daugherty (Michael) and son Nathanial of Azle, Texas; brother Robert Johnson, Indiantown, Florida; half-sister Kali Harris of Muskegon, Michigan., and niece and nephew Alicia and Nicholas Johnson (mother Natasha Garner), her Aunt Anna (Glenn) Johnson and numerous cousins.
