America first enthusiasm
Dear Editor:
The business of America is business once again.
Out of the public sector, into the private where it belongs.
The financial sector grows by leaps and bounds while big government waste, fraud and abuse slowly shrinks.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent reports “private jobs up, public sector government jobs down.” Also, “average family income, up. unemployment, down.”
Hundreds of thousands of jobs representing free market expansion and personal growth both dwarf and replace the stranglehold of the government-first public sector. Interest rates will lower, private investment will increase and trigger vast, real GDP growth, productivity and personal wealth. Crushing regulatory restrictions are being torn down along with green energy, climate change mythology. These false claims pick away at economic prosperity.
We, the people of Maine, now return to their natural, organic creed of genuine rugged individualism and divinely given originality and creativity.
Finally we have a president who gets it. America first enthusiasm and drive will continue. The days of grinding government dependency, lethargy and sloth are over.
The lead sentence of this letter may not be an exact quote by Calvin Coolidge, but he was correct, then as now. This is no time for doomsayers. If you believe in America, you want bold new, privately owned manufacturing, technological, natural resource based and labor producing jobs to flourish. This could not have come at a better time.
Never, ever give up on America. National success is at hand.
