Performance Food Group was on hand to host Community Lunch Monday, March 10 as they sent star executive chef Anthony Bussiere to provide an amazing meal which included grilled Mediterranean chicken with farro, a huge Mediterranean salad, along with garlic knots and a fabulous baklava for dessert. Before the lunch Chef Anthony was able to connect with many of the guests, see some old friends and make new ones. George and Ethel Brewer were in attendance and were thrilled to be able to see their son Rob's former college classmate and roommate hosting the lunch! Yes, it certainly is a small world.
Chef has already put his name on the hosting list for next year! Thank you to PFG, Anthony, and Rick (never seen the man wear an apron!) St Peter for hosting!
Proceeds of this and last week's lunch are being donated to the recovery fund for Justin and Kristen Brooks, who experienced a fire at their Barters Island home recently.
There are only two lunches left for the season which means spring is almost here! Next week's lunch will be hosted by the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library. We understand the book club is excited to cook!
