The Southport Island Association’s Fourth of July Parade at Newagen drew its usual great crowd. Grand Marshals Jean Thompson, Evelyn Sherman and Ronnie Orchard were joined by fire trucks, kids and adults walking, kids and adults on bikes, a decorated John Deere Gator towing a wagon with a stuffed horse strapped to it, and more.
