Sticker Shock event May 1
On Tuesday, May 1 from 9-11 a.m., students from Boothbay Region High School’s Student Health Advisory Board, faculty advisors and School Resource Officer Larry Brown will partner with Healthy Lincoln County and local businesses to conduct a Sticker Shock event.
At Rite Aid shortly after 9 a.m. participants will place bright, orange stickers on multi-packs of alcohol to remind adults of the consequences for furnishing alcohol to minors. This being the Tuesday before prom, the event serves as an important reminder to adults and businesses that may plan to purchase alcohol for underage students. Sticker Shock also highlights the crucial partnerships between youth, schools, law enforcement, businesses and public health agencies in preventing our youth from using drugs and alcohol.
