Burnham and Pearson are again at the Augusta Civic Center providing updates of the Boothbay Region Seahawks Class C South tournament games on Thursday, Feb. 18.
The second-seeded Seahawk girls’ semifinal game tips off at 2:30 p.m. against the third-seeded Monmouth Mustangs. The sixth-seeded Boothbay boys will take on the second-seeded Winthrop Ramblers at 7 p.m.

Boothbay vs. Monmouth
First quarter: No. 3 Monmouth leads Boothbay Region girls 10-7 after the first quarter in the Class C South quarterfinals in Augusta,
Second quarter: Monmouth leads Boothbay Region, 16-19, at halftime. Monmouth guard Tia Day was fouled with nine tenths of one second remaining in the half and made both free throws to extending her team’s lead to three. Faith Blethen is the leading Seahawk scorer with eight.
Third quarter: A sensational pass from Boothbay Region guard Sydney Meader to forward Page Brown ended in a three-point play in the final eight seconds of the quarter, and gave Boothbay its largest lead of the game at 28-22 after three quarters.
Fourth quarter: Boothbay Region defeated Monmouth Academy, 36-34, Thursday to advance to the Class C girls South regional Saturday against Madison at 7:05 p.m.
Seahawk guard Faith Blethen led all scorers with 15 points.
Boothbay vs. Winthrop
First quarter: Boothbay trails Winthrop 12-8 after one quarter. Seahawk guard Nick Gorey and forward Abel Bryer have four points.
Second quarter:Boothbay continues to trail Winthrop, 25-16, in the Class C South semifinals. Boothbay committed 16 turnovers. Winthrop made 11turnovers. Abel Bryer is the leading Seahawk scorer with 12 points.
Third quarter: Boothbay outscored Winthrop 17-6 in the third quarter. The Seahawks took a brief 29-27 lead, but now trails 33-29.
Fourth quarter: Winthrop leads 37-31 with 2:47 remaining. Winthrop defeats Boothbay 45-31.
