Dear Editor:

I am paying my parking ticket and have taken Boothbay off my list of places to go in Maine because of the ridiculous way they go about handling parking tickets. I will not miss it. There are plenty of coastal towns in Maine that are not so over the top.

I put $1.50 in the parking meter to last 1.5 hours. I knew I needed more change to make it 2 hours. I went to an appointment where they were going to get me change. When I was able to get out to put money in the meter, the guy had just put a ticket on my car. I jumped the tall fence and ran after him but he could not hear me. So I just paid double the amount, as I am late paying it.

I will not drive to Boothbay again as it is just ridiculous.
