Dear Editor:

Kudos to Officer Larry Brown for rescuing the hot dog. The problem, though, is bigger than one dog, unless the police station is to become a cool kennel. For locals, the answer is simple: Leave your dog home. But what to do with a dog when you’re traveling? Sure, it’s a good idea to put the pooch in a kennel back home. But let’s say you’re from Colorado, and now you’re here. What now?

There should be some viable answers, like shaded parking areas or a short-term kennel. Visitors to the area would be able to shop at their leisure without worrying about the dog.
