Dangerous lack of signage

Dear Editor:
The town (Boothbay Harbor) must immediately install "Oncoming traffic may have extended green" signage facing southbound traffic at the intersection of Routes 27 and 96.
This so-called "yellow trap," in which left-turning traffic (on to Route 96) dangerously assumes that oncoming traffic also faces a yellow/red light, can lead to deadly accidents if it continues unsigned.
