Diabetes Support Group discusses dining out
Registered Dietitian Dimsie Clark, MS, RD, will join the Lincoln County Healthcare Diabetes Support Group at the May 28 meeting for an informal and interesting discussion on how to eat well when you are eating out.
The meeting will take place from 7 to 8:15 p.m. in the Diabetes Education Room on the third floor of the Miles Campus of LincolnHealth Hospital.
Clark will discuss how people with diabetes can find healthy options even when eating out. Participants are encouraged to bring a menu from their favorite restaurant. Everyone is also encouraged to bring questions and be prepared for a lively exchange.
The Lincoln County Healthcare Diabetes Support Group meets7-8:15 p.m. every other month, usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month, to share experiences and send the message that no one should have to deal with diabetes alone

Originally recognized in September of 2001, the program was recertified in February 2013.
