Knights of Pythias: Benefit potluck March 29
Seventeen members and two guests were present at the Knights of Pythias meeting on Monday, March 24. Grand Chancellor Michael Sanborn and Brother Allen Frizzell were our guests.
The dart tournament on Sunday was well attended and we will hold another one before summer.
Sunday’s cribbage tournament was another great success with 18 people competing. The Sunday tournaments are open to the public and begin at noon.
On Saturday, March 29, we will be holding a benefit potluck supper and auction for the family of Carl Giles at the hall beginning at 5 p.m. Anyone with an auction item or casserole to donate can call Gary Blackman Sr. at 207-350-1006 or Tim Sprague at 207-315-5520.
There will be a clean-up detail beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, March 29 at the hall. Members are urged to attend to put the hall in order for the evening event.
The Murky Waters Band will provide the music for a dance from 7 to 11 p.m. on April 19 at the hall.
We finished the second round of rank work on the four prospective members. At 6 p.m. on March 31, we will be having a fish chowder supper followed by the third rank work on these prospective members.
