It will be hard to surpass the February potluck. Judy had the hall looking like an Italian café with red, green and white everywhere. Chef Alan was on top of his game making all varieties of pizzas that were eagerly consumed by those in attendance. He had spent two days shopping and chopping so that all manner of toppings could be offered. It looks like the pizza potluck has a permanent place on the calendar. Bravo and grazie to Chef Alan and his helpers.

The March potluck scheduled for March 29 could give pizza night a run for its money. It is going to be a soup-er supper. The main dishes will be a variety of soups, so please bring an appetizer, bread, rolls, cornbread or a dessert to share. Bring along your beverage of choice. As always, coffee, tea and water will be available.

It is also going to be ugly sweater night. Now don’t say you don’t have one — everybody has an ugly sweater. Wear your sweater to the potluck and put yourself in the running for some awesome prizes. You will not want to miss this fun night.

While you are looking in your closet, attic, basement or where ever you keep your ugly sweaters, keep in mind the Barters Island garage sale. Put aside any items that you want to donate to the garage sale that will take place in June. (Sorry but you can’t unload those ugly sweaters during the garage sale as clothing and furniture are not accepted.)
